- CAS in Wired Magazine
CAS appears in the March issue of Wired magazine in an article entitled, "Molecular Frameworks, the Building Blocks of Life." The Wired article highlights the findings of the CAS REGISTRYSM analysis paper written by a group of CAS scientists, led by Alan Lipkus, and published in The Journal of Organic Chemistry in June 2008.
- American Chemical Society Publications Wins Prestigious Awards
The American Chemical Society, the world's largest scientific society, has won two prestigious PROSE awards for excellence in scholarly publishing, including an award in the Website or Platform category recognizing the combined work of the ACS Publications Division, the Society's Information Technology (IT) division, and CAS.
- CAS Registry Analysis Published in JOC
CAS scientists have discovered that half of the known organic chemical substances can be described by just 143 molecular shapes. This study may help identify new regions of chemistry space for exploration.
